Going going going Party - June 5, 2010
Ben Ho took some photos with my camera relatively early in the party. I wish I'd passed around the camera to get "coverage" throughout the night but didn't think of it. Still, some good shots!

I loved the whole party but maybe especially the final hour when 6-8 of us lay on the floor and couch, lights off candles-only, drinking final wine (me w/requisite cran/lime), music winding down, watching 1928 Popeye, meandering multiple conversations.

And after the party...cats came out of hiding and dug some Popeye

Everyone gone home...it's late...The place smells like candles...the soundtrack has shifted from triphop, nouveau surf, roots rockabilly, music from '70s porn films to Erik Satie's Gnosserienne No 1 - pensive stillness perfection.

Big Packing Day #1 - June 5, 2010

dear Jasper, gravely ill right now (see rat poison post from this week)

Last still moments for a week. It would be cacophony and bedlam hereafter, and I knew it when I took these shots before friends and family came to get me packed up.

Alcatraz...where these thugs and mugs should be - they told me they have 13 years of prison between them (no kidding). They told me this at 8pm in an empty storage facility...and one of them said he'd been in prison 7 times himself. "I like violence---a lawt. Ain't that true?" His cousin nodded sadly.
